Pet Kitty Summer 2024

I asked Kim what sort of cat she thought she was because I hadn't had much time to observe her behaviors and traits beyond the few hours we spent shooting by a friend's outdoor garden pool. She replied, "Either a Siamese or an Abyssinian." I thought it a quick and insightful answer despite her admission that she had never really thought about it. In her defense I realize at this moment that I've also never contemplated what sort of feline I was. I'm probably one of those goofy orange tabbies. Otherwise, as a Leo, I've always seen myself as big cat of the plains, prowling, eating, and lounging in the tall grass, remaining hidden from those who would make me a trophy.

I mulled over these two choices for a moment and did some research. At first, I thought Abyssinians were those furless monstrosities with the wrinkled skin and was curious why such an exquisite copper-haired beauty would fancy herself such a creature. Of course, Abyssinians, as I discovered, are not those. They originate in Ethiopia and have dark coats which may grow lighter. I immediately thought this inconsistent with her obvious state of being a white Woman. Therefore, I shall award her the coveted consideration as a Siamese and what I know of Siamese seems to match Kim's personality. She is friendly, courageous and professional. She is sleek and exotic and conducts herself with elegance and may be inclined to unabashedly rub herself against you.

Regardless of the breed of cat she is, there is no denying that she is feline. Sleek and cogent, nothing could escape her, not even a mouse. Next summer rush out and pick yourself up one just like her, station her by the pool and enjoy the pleasantries a Pet Kitty such as she affords.
